Korea's Changpo Hair Wash Tradition (Korean Iris Extract)

Korean Iris Extract

Not to be confused with the flowering purple Iris, Korean Iris Changpo has sausage-like white flowering tops with chive like sharp green leaves. It can commonly be seen in ponds or along riverbanks and has been used as herbal medicine for generations.

Washing the hair with Korean iris, Changpo, removes scalp impurities and prevents premature graying of hair.

In ancient Korean folk customs during the Dano Festival, people used to wash their hair with Changpo as a ritual to ward off evil spirits.

I've been using it for over 2 weeks and I love it
I'm thinking of buying other scents and even more basil scents.
I came in. First of all, my scalp feels refreshed because it is oily.
My hair is also oily, so after using this shampoo bar
It takes less oil. It lasts well until the evening.
I think it will become my favorite item ~ :)

Product FAQs

How much bath salt to use for each detox bath soak for body or foot?

Use approximately 4 tablespoons for a full-body bath, 2-3 tablespoons for a half-body bath, or 1-2 tablespoons for a foot bath. If your tub is larger or if you enjoy a more enhanced aromatherapy effect, please add more as desired.

What's the key difference between Korean mineral sea salt and regular epsom salt?

The quality of your mineral detox baths at home depends on the quality of salts that you use. There is a wide variety of salts you can use for a relaxing bath. Epsom salt and sea salt are two of the world’s favorites. Although both are called “salt”, they have distinct differences. Both are natural healers in baths, easing aches and ailments, and enhance beauty routines when mixed with essential oils.

The key difference is that Epsom salt isn't actually a salt. Despite its name, Epsom salt is a mineral found in water, made up of magnesium and sulfate. It crystallizes like sea salt but has a different chemical composition.

Unlike sea salts, which contain sodium chloride, Epsom salt consists of magnesium, sulfur, and oxygen. This unique composition distinguishes it from sea salt.

At ReSaltZ, we use mineral-rich sea salt from Korea's pristine sea near Bigeumdo island. These trace minerals act as micronutrients, helping to detoxify the body and balance the skin barrier.

Is Korean mineral salt bath comparable to Epsom salt bath?

If you use Epsom salt for its natural soothing and exfoliating properties, sea salt is an excellent Epsom salt substitution. Just like Epsom salt, sea salt can also be used as a bath salt and foot soak salt. Sea salt exfoliates the dead skin, oil, and grime from the body.
